About this project
When a tornado swept through the area, this church’s iconic steepled roof sustained enough storm damage to require a complete roof replacement. Because of the steeple’s architectural design, an expert roofing contractor like SlopePro was needed for the job.
We arrived on-site the morning after the tornado to assess the extent of the storm damage and structural integrity of the building. After temporary repairs were made and a safe plan for the full re-roofing was created, a three-week project to replace the church’s entire roof began, from reframing the main area to prepare for the metal roof to re-roofing certain portions with sturdy architectural shingles.
Metal shingles made from copper were selected as the new roofing material for the steeple thanks to their long lifespan and eye-catching look. The shingles were hand-made and hand-bent on site to ensure they fit perfectly together on the steeple. The SlopePro team meticulously carved and attached these copper shingles over a weatherproofed underlayment achieving a remarkable and simultaneously functional final aesthetic.
Not only did the client walk away pleased with the final product, but they were even more satisfied with SlopePro’s 50-year material and labor warranty.
